One of the most satisfying feelings and accomplishments was assembling all available video clips from a given concert, getting the best audio available, creating an animated intro and outro and figuring out how to put it together seamlessly as though you were watching the original show.

After seeing COLDPLAY at The Cotton Bowl in Dallas last May 2022, I felt compelled to do just this. It was my first time seeing them.  One word: Amazing.

I sought out the best clips for every song based on the setlist.  What is so fun about this challenging project, is that you get to work your editing muscles, enter creative flow states, and let your imagination run wild, but within reason.

When it is all said and done, the hard work is complete and you are left with a wonderful time capsule that you can share with others, hopefully capturing the magic that inspired you in the first place.

The Nick Mason’s Saucerful of Secrets concert was another one that I wanted to be able to relive because it was so freaking amazingly cool. Hands down one of the most psychedelic concerts I have ever seen out of hundreds and the only other Pink Floyd music we never get to hear from David Gilmour or Roger Waters.

The last one I did was for Tears for Fears.  This was a very special show because I have been a fan since I first heard Songs From The Big Chair back in 1985 and then Sowing The Seeds of Love in 1993.  They are the consumate musicians that are experts at their craft.  Extremely professional, thought provoking and immensely talented.

To say the least, the show isn’t as smooth as the others because of the source material available, but the sound and visuals are very good and capture the energy and feel of the show.

The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway

The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway

I remember vividly going to a Sound Warehouse music store in the summer of 1987 and blindly purchasing the Genesis album The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway on a double cassette. It was originally released in 1974, so I was about 13 years late to the party.  I had been a...

Musical Inspiration

I have been inspired by so many musicians and bands throughout my life.  I will never forget when I heard “Fly Like An Eagle” by the Steve Miller Band when I was 8 years old and falling in love with the synthesizers, drums and organ.  I had never heard anything like...
