An old friend from college and I reconnected recently and I discovered he was an accomplished author and that he was just about to publish a young adult fiction ghost story.
We met and he showed me a screenplay for a 45 second animated video to promote his upcoming book. I figured it would take a few months to create using photos, some animation and after effects for some visuals.
I felt like I was in this world as it slowly began to come together from all of the individual pieces and characters.
I was able to hire 5 voice actors and they did a wonderful job for each character.
There is also some very surreal AI software where I was able to take my still images and tuen them into real people. I would let it run it’s facial detection and it would come up with very interesting moving video that I would figure out how to get it to work with the line of dialogue I had in any given instance.
It is a little telepathic, but it still somehow works with the given scene. I think it looks more interesting than just a static image. Gives it some life and character.
It turned out pretty well for what it is considering some limitations with time, new software and budget, but overall both of us were very happy with the end result.
The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway
I remember vividly going to a Sound Warehouse music store in the summer of 1987 and blindly purchasing the Genesis album The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway on a double cassette. It was originally released in 1974, so I was about 13 years late to the party. I had been a...

Jean-Michel Jarre

I have been inspired by so many musicians and bands throughout my life. I will never forget when I heard “Fly Like An Eagle” by the Steve Miller Band when I was 8 years old and falling in love with the synthesizers, drums and organ. I had never heard anything like...
